A Smart (BtB!) AD&D 1E Character Sheet

This is a follow-up to my previous post.

Ok... so I couldn't stay away. It warmed my heart to see people find the other character sheet so useful, enough so that they plan to use it! But not everyone wants my opinionated houserules messing with their game. I went ahead and made a by-the-book version of the character sheet. You can find it here. To be specific on the changes made from last version:
  • Switched to BtB weight-based encumbrance (modified by Str). Armour selection also automatically adjusts movement based on "bulk".
  • BtB weapons and armour tables. I kept weapon versus AC values as a toggle option and updated the values.
  • The character sheet is now printer friendly! Here is a downloadable pdf version of it.
Let me know if you catch any errors, and happy gaming!

  2. Hey there, thanks for making this sheet! I do have a question however. I've entered a character's information and their movement rate always seems stuck at 30. They have 500 coins of encumbrance, and are wearing leather armour, but they are always treated as encumbered. Switching them to padded armour does cause their movement rate to go up to 90 confusingly.

Leather armour is listed in the book as a movement rate of 12" and non-bulky so I am not sure what exactly is going on here. Any help would be appreciated, cause I really do want to use this sheet for my campaign I'm running

    1. Hi! Sorry for the late response. I've made some changes in the past month, and I just now changed the encumbrance system such that you can input any base movement you want and it will adjust the movement rate accordingly. It's a bit hardcoded (so don't pick any base movement speeds except 12, 9, 6, 3), but that should let you put any base movement in.

I've also updated the formatting, should look a little less messy, especially the Combat section.

Let me know if you catch any other errors, and I'll be happy to fix them.
